`Dover, 11th Oct. The early part of this day it blew a heavy gale from the SSW with rain. The latter part moderate weather. The AMPHION, Applegren, from Stockholm to Havre, came on shore near Dymchurch and is wrecked; cargo will be saved.' (1)
