A Second World War pillbox (possibly a type 24) located on the beach at eastern end of Dagnam Saltings, west of Allhallows-on-Sea. This pillbox is one of a number located along the coast forming part of the extensive wartime coastal defences around the Thames and Medway rivers. This pillbox has now been removed. It was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description
A Second World War pillbox (possibly a type 24) located at TQ 8312 7875 on the beach at Dagnam Saltings to the west of Allhallows-on-Sea on the northern coast of the Hoo Peninsula. This pillbox is one of a number located along the coast forming part of the extensive wartime coastal defences around the Thames and Medway rivers. This pillbox now lies isolated on the beach due to coastal erosion since the 1940s. It was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1)
