Monument record TQ 87 NE 1131 - Earthwork remains of a length of probable post medieval sea wall, Allhallows Marshes
Summary
The earthwork remains of a length of probable post medieval sea wall which branches off a former counter wall within Allhallows Marshes. The bank can be traced for c.130m and runs north-south, parallel to a stretch of former creek, now a blind sinuous water-filled channel cut off from Stoke Creek by the counter wall. The bank was mapped from Environment Agency lidar imagery as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape project.
