Monument record TQ 87 SE 1257 - Possible Second World War pillbox, Grain

Summary

A possible Second World War pillbox can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1946. This pillbox was situated near a military installation (NMR 1541232) near the south west corner of Grain but was demolished in the construction of the post-war BP refinery. It was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
