Summary

The remains of a post medieval wreck can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1946. This is one of three closely spaced wrecks on the eastern side of Colemouth Creek, north of Elphinstone Point (see also NMR 1541411 & 1541432). This vessel measured approximately 22m by 6m and was partly overlain by another wreck (NMR 1541411). This vessel, which is no longer visible, was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
