Summary
A former jetty dating from the latter part of the 19th century which was seen on coast just north of the Hard linking Grain Tower to the mainland. This jetty was recorded on 2nd epoch Ordnance Survey maps of c.1899 and was mapped from aerial photographs taken in 1942 as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The jetty no longer exists, though some of the stumps of its posts can be seen in the mud at low tide.
