Full Description
A possible Second World War or earlier observation tower located at TQ 8927 7610 just above the beach opposite Grain Tower
(NMR Monument:418676) on the Isle of Grain. The tower lies immediately to the south of an electric searchlight battery (1911-1940) NMR Monument Number:1204555, within a large trapezoidal barbed wire enclosure. These features were all mapped from RAF vertical photographs taken in 1942 as part of the the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1)
