Summary

The earthwork remains of a former (medieval/post medieval) counter wall located on the eastern side of the Isle of Grain and visible as a bank on RAF aerial photographs taken in 1942. It was aligned NW-SE and could be traced for c.345m. Grain Power Station now occupies this location and the bank has been levelled and presumably destroyed. The bank was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
