Full Description
The site of a former 19th - 20th century sheepfold recorded on historic Ordnance Survey maps (1st epoch (1879), recorded as a sheep wash on 3rd epoch of 1908. The map sources depict at least one small building within a sub-divided fenced off area in the corner of three low-lying fields in Higham Marshes. The fenced area is located on a track between drainage ditches adjacent to three fields. This site was recorded during the course of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1-2)
