Summary

The earthwork remains of two parallel banks of uncertain date, possibly former boundaries immediately to the south of Beckley Hill. These were mapped from Environment Agency lidar imagery as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Full Description

The earthwork remains of two parallel banks of uncertain date, possibly former boundaries seen at TQ 7081 7396 immediately to the south of Beckley Hill. They are both aligned NW-SE, are set approximately 20m apart and measure 40m and 60m respectively. They extend between the railway embankment to the north and a drainage ditch to the south. These banks were mapped from Environment Agency lidar imagery as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (1)
