Summary
Medieval or Post medieval field boundaries and traces of possible ridge and furrow seen as earthworks immediately to the east of Beckley Hill. These features lie within the former medieval or later counter wall, the flood defences around reclaimed land in Higham Marshes. The remains were mapped from a combination of aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
