Summary

The cropmark remains of a large spread of chalk 26m x 39m, possibly a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow located on the south-western side of Dusty Hill. This site is one of four such spreads of chalk extending WSW in a line from Dusty Hill. This and one other have traces of an external ring ditches, whilst the others are visible only as sub-circular chalk spreads. Each possible barrow has been recorded separately. All have been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
