Summary

A Second World War pillbox can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1952. This pillbox was situated on the wharf to the south of Hoo St. Werburgh brickworks. This pillbox, which has since been demolished, was first visible on aerial photgraphs taken in 1942. It was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
