Monument record TQ 77 SE 1402 - Earthworks of probable post-medieval field boundary banks, Sole Street Farm
Summary
The slight earthworks of probable post-medieval field boundary banks can be seen on lidar taken in 2007. These banks are situated to the north and north-west of Sole Street Farm. One bank aligned south west - north east is the continuation of a boundary depicted on the 1867. The southern end meets a north west ¿ south east aligned bank running between Sole Street Farm and Springdale Cottages A bank to the east runs parallel to the south west - north east aligned bank and is aligned on a surviving field boundary. These earthworks were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
