Monument record TQ 77 SW 203 - Remains of a post medieval field boundary can be seen on lidar taken in 2007. This bank is situated to the west of The Mount at Higham
Summary
The slight earthwork remains of a post medieval field boundary can be seen on lidar taken in 2007. This bank is situated to the west of The Mount at Higham and is centred on TQ 7093 7188. This earthwork is aligned approximately east-west and for most of its length defines field boundaries depicted on the 1933 Ordnance Survey map. The exception to this is a circa 70m section of the earthwork which probably represents a boundary that had been removed before 1870. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
