Full Description
The slight earthwork remains of a post medieval field boundary can be seen on lidar taken in 2007. This bank is situated to the west of The Mount at Higham and is centred on TQ 7093 7188. This earthwork is aligned approximately east-west and for most of its length defines field boundaries depicted on the 1933 Ordnance Survey map. The exception to this is a circa 70m section of the earthwork centred on TQ 7098 7190 which probably represents a boundary removed before 1870. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1-2)
