Full Description
Probable prehistoric palaeochannels were excavated at Shelford Farm Estate, Canterbury during 2001-2002. 11 features were identified at the site which were thought to potentially represent relict palaeochannels. These features were located along the lines of later linear features which were thought to have followed similar courses - some of these may represent later canalization of the channels. Deposits associated with the channels have also been identified at the site.
Finds associated with deposits at the site included burnt and worked flint. (1)
