Full Description
Archaeological evidence in the form of an extensive backfilled depression in one area of the site is thought to represent a possible undated quarry at Broome Park Golf and Country Club, near Barham. The quarry may have been used to extract brickearth and/or chalk. The backfilling of the quarry may date from the early post-medieval period, and has been interpreted as possibly having been associated with the realignment of a road near to the site. (1)
