Summary

Site of a Second World War light anti aircraft (Diver) battery south of Sandling Park. This was armed with 40mm guns, and was manned by 410 Battery of 143 Anti Aircraft Regiment when it was redeployed here from TR156352 on 26th August 1944. It was then manned by 410 Battery of 143 anti Aircraft Regiment. It formed part of the 71 Light Anti Aircraft Artillery Brigade deployment.
