Full Description

A prehistoric linear feature and associated Neolithic/Bronze Age struck flint were excavated on land adjoining 2 Selwood Cottages, Broomfield in 2016.
The linear feature comprised an E-W aligned cut measuring 0.63m in width and 0.10m in depth. The feature has been interpreted as a possible land boundary.
12 pieces of struck flint were recovered from the fill of the linear feature. These consisted of 2 blades, 9 flakes, 2 of which were blade-like in form, and 1 piece of flint working waste. One of the blade -like flakes was burnt. (1)
