Findspot record TR 25 NW 517 - 17th century pottery and clay pipes, (land to the rear of the former) The Anchor Inn, 2 Bekesbourne Lane, Littlebourne

Summary

Several fragments of seventeenth century pottery and clay pipes were retrieved from the the exposed soil layer at the base of the reduced area excavation. This suggests that these soils represented the top of a continuing deposit sequence extending to/from the surviving medieval (and possibly Roman) deposits beneath.
