Full Description
A probable medieval chalk and flint wall, and a later floor surface were identified in Canterbury during an evaluation in 2024. The wall measured 0.74m in height, 0.34m in width, and was identified at a depth of 0.21–0.55m below ground level. The wall was overlain by a tiled floor surface thought to originate from a later building at the site, which was sealed by a layer containing a copper alloy purse bar dating to the late 15th-16th century.
