The building was demolished in 2008 along with adjacent properties and replaced by an apartment block, 'Burlington Place'.

Originally a hospital for children suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, opened in 1898, with early 20th century extensions. It was converted in the 1930's to a hospital for convalescent women and is now a private nursing home.
