Full Description
A late medieval/early post-medieval wall was identified at 9 St Martin's Hill, Canterbury during a watching brief in 2023. The wall was constructed from flint and chalk, alongside a piece of worked greensand stone. "The footing was at least 0.4m wide and bonded with a pale-yellow sandy lime
mortar. The foundation was progressively truncated to the south, but its exact depth was not
clear–it was at least 0.5m" (from the original report, 1).
