Cluster of archaeological remains were excavated from trenches 4 and 5 located top the northern part of the site. The archaeology could be dated broadly to c. 1050 to 1225 AD.

Full Description

1) Cluster of archaeological remains were excavated from trenches 4 and 5 located top the northern part of the site. The archaeology could be dated broadly to c. 1050 to 1225 AD. The animal bone assemblage and environmental material suggests mixed agriculture with animal husbandry and cultivation of cereals. Fragments of quern stone were excavated from the site, indicating that crop processing may have been undertaken at the site or nearby.

Trench 4:
Cluster of archaeological remains seem to be indicative of a nearby settlement/farmstead.

Trench 5:
Archaeological remains indicate a form of land division.
