Full Description

Flood defences of medieval/post-medieval date were visible as earthworks on RAF/106G/UK/1131 RS 4023 17-JAN-1946. The features were recorded as levelled earthworks on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. The lengths of bank stand approximately 230m to the north of and roughly parallel to the old Sea Wall depicted on historical Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 County Series mapping, but were not themselves mapped. The earthwork banks were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-3)
