Full Description
Three extractive pits of medieval/post-medieval date were visible as cropmarks in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015. They may have been marl pits to provide soil improver for cultivated fields on the Head deposits in the environs. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1)
