Full Description
A palaeochannel was identified at Lion Cottage, Patrixbourne during an evaluation in 2020. Riverine deposits formed the natural geological horizon to the east end of the trench, suggesting that this area originally formed part of an ancient stream bed of the Nailbourne which now lies around 160m SE of the site.
