Summary

The earthworks of a post medieval pond can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947. This elongated pond, since levelled, is depicted on the 1872 Ordnance Survey map and was situated to the west of St Mary's Bay. This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
