Full Description
A saltern mound of medieval date was visible as an earthwork on RAF/106G/UK/1724 RP 3030 10-SEP-1946 and still visible on LIDAR Environment Agency DTM 02-DEC-2019. This feature is one of a group of eroded mounds between the River Wantsum and the Winfield Sewer. It was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet Landscape Mapping project in 2024. (1-2)
