Full Description

The site of a line of anti-landing posts east of Potten Street visible seen as cropmarks on US/7PH/GP/LOC286 V 5008 19-APR-1944. These were typically posts, in this case, placed at intervals of c.20m and 30m. In larger open fields they were often set in a grid (often connected with wires) to impede landing of enemy aircraft. These were removed at the end of the war (1).
