Full Description
The site of one of a series of Second World War anti-landing obstacles visible as earthworks and mapped from aerial photographs RAF aerial photographs -RAF/106G/UK/1378 FV 7061 04-APR-1946. The obstruction was formed by a 35m long north-south aligned trench with three mounds of upcast soil flanking the ditch to impede landing enemy aircraft. These are now levelled (Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021) and the central ditch can been seen as a cropmark on EARTH.GOOGLE.CO, 3/2022 ACCESSED 20-MAY-2024 (1-3).
