Full Description
A short length of military trench at Plumbpudding Island Farm visible as an earthwork on RAF vertical photographs -RAF/106G/UK/1378 V 5021 04-APR-1946. This was located opposite the southern entrance to the bridge where a track passes under the railway and was probably a gun emplacement. An embanked gun emplacement was also located on the railway embankment overlooking the bridge. This site was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. Now infilled (1-2).
