Full Description

The two possible ponds are centred at TR 0758 2403, and are approximately 240m apart. The pond on the east is perfectly circular in plan view, and has a diameter of 11m. The other pond is sub-circular in plan view and measures 13m across. They are not thought to be Second World War bomb craters due to the fact that they are very similar in appearance to four other nearby examples which are all marked on the Ordnance Survey 1907 map of Kent. The most likely agricultural use would be as a pond, but alternative agricultural or industrial functions may also be possible.

The possible pond on the east is not visible in any form on vertical aerial photographs of 2007; whereas the other possible pond is faintly visible as a cropmark (1-3).
