Full Description
This may be one of the eight vessels referred to in LL:
`The ALICE, Frain, from London for Dublin; the SUCCESS, Wallace from Petersburg for Barcelona; the MARY, Marshal, from Perth for Gibraltar; with five others, having lost their anchors and cables in the Downs, the 19th inst. at night, in a violent gale, was (sic) obliged to run them on Sandwich Flats to save their lives, and most of them were bulged, but it's hoped part of their cargoes and materials will be saved.'
