'The THOMAS, Hoare, from the Bay of Honduras and Musquita Shore to London, was run foul of by a ship in the Downs the 19th inst. at night, parted both her cables, drove ashore near Ramsgate, and is full of water; but are in hopes of getting her into Ramsgate Harbour.' (2)

'The THOMAS, Hoare, which is on shore near Margate (sic), will be totally lost; but are in hopes to save part of the cargo.' (3)
