Full Description
Second World War Second World War public air raid shelter visible as an earthwork on aerial photograph RAF/26J/BR267 VL 1 22-FEB-1941 and seen to be levelled on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. The site appeared as a rectangular earth-covered mound 10m x 14m with two entrances onto Cliff Road and two blast walls protecting a third entrance projecting NE. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024 (1). The site is now levelled. (2)
