Full Description
The site of a Second World War gun emplacement on the cliff at Epple Bay, on the western side of the incised path leading down to the beach. This was visible on RAF aerial photographs -RAF/26J/BR267 VL 1 22-FEB-1941 as three embanked gun emplacements. These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. Site removed after the end of the war. (1-2)
