Full Description

Slit trenches forming part of a defended locality of Second World War date were visible as earthworks on RAF/HLA/383 RS 956 28-DEC-1941. They stand just inside the south-west corner of an orchard, behind a pillbox (MKE124298). The slit trenches were recorded as levelled earthworks on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. The features were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
