Full Description
An incomplete ring ditch 16m in diameter, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow identified as cropmarks from aerial photographs -CUCAP WT70 26-JUN-1958 and EARTH.GOOGLE.COM 05-2019. ACCESSED 06-JUN-2024. This is one of a group of barrows of varying size, some thought to be Early medieval in date enclosed by a later settlement ditch. This barrow lies outside the later enclosure (TR 26 NE 31), the ditch of which clearly curves around the south side of the barrow respecting and post-dating it. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. (1-2)
