Full Description
Numerous extractive pits of Medieval/post-Medieval date were visible as cropmarks in 35256/003 16-JUN-2022 and NMR 2176/14 03-AUG-1984. They were in fields to the north of the Old Chalk Pit that was at the east end of The Length. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1)
