Full Description

Second World War anti-tank blocks on the top of the slipway and also blocking the stairs to the beach opposite the Royal Crescent, Margate visible as a structure on RAF/HLA/540 RV 6007 17-MAY-1942. A single anti-tank cube also blocked the route from the Promenade to the corner of the Esplanade. The feature is later seen to have been demolished on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. This site was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. (1-2)
