Full Description

Second World War gun emplacement and a 28m length of zig-zag trench to the west, on Royal Crescent, Westbrook opposite the slipway which was visible as an earthwork on RAF/HLA/540 RV 6007 17-MAY-1942. The feature is later seen to have been demolished on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. This site was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. (1-2)
