Full Description

A line of possible Second World War anti-landing obstacles visible on aerial photographs: RAF/HLA/386 RP 627 02-JAN-1942 and mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. These features appeared as a band of four closely set rows of posts extending 230m NE of the Ramsgate Road, Margate. These were removed following the war and the site occupied by the Queen Elizabeth the Queen mother Hospital. (1-2)
