Cropmarks of an extensive, possibly medieval field system associated with numerous settlement enclosures mapped from aerial photographs.
This extensive system of ditched enclosures extends from west of Minster Road to High Street, Garlinge in the east and southwards to Park Road Lane and Woodchurch. At the centre of this angular system of large fields is a more curvilinear pair of enclosures with broader ditches which represent a primary or earier land enclosure (TR 36 NW 43). These features have been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024 (1-7)
