Full Description
Twelver post-Second World War prefab houses erected in former bomb on Denmark Road, Ramsgate which were recorded from aerial photographs as part of the Historic England Ramsgate HAZ project. .. These houses were part of a group of 23 prefabs erected around the gas works in Sussex Street, Denmark Road, Finsbury Road and Alma Road on land which appears to have been requisitioned by the Borough of Ramsgate for the construction of housing in November 1947 (Thanet Advertiser 11 November 1947). All prefabs had been replaced by other buildings by the 1960s. (1)
