Full Description
A slit trench of Second World War date was visible as an earthwork in RAF/106G/LA/90 RS 4022 04-JAN-1945. The short length of slit trench has a similar crenellated plan form to the long crenellated trench running between St Nicholas at Wade and Monkton/Hoo (MKE124734). They may be contemporary, probably dating to the very early years of the Second World War. It was recorded as a levelled earthwork on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
