Full Description

A slit trench of Second World War date was visible as a cropmark in RAF/541/152 RS 4013 04-SEP-1948. The short length of slit trench has a similar crenellated plan form to the nearby long crenellated trench running between St Nicholas at Wade and Monkton/Hoo (MKE124734). They may be contemporary, probably dating to the very early years of the Second World War. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1)
