Extractive pits of Medieval/post-Medieval date were visible as cropmarks in NMR 2639/3127 01-AUG-1985 and Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 05-MAY-2018. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
