Full Description

A field boundary of Medieval/post-Medieval date was visible as a soilmark in OS/94013 V 51 10-MAR-1994. Two lengths of this former boundary, measuring about 100m and 133m long respectively, were oriented roughly south-west/north-east. They do not appear on either the Tithe Award map for Monkton dated 1838 or the first edition of Ordnance Survey 1:2,500 scale County Series mapping. The field boundary was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
